I'm a pretty happy, confident, sociable person with a good sense of humour. I enjoy travelling and seeing new places, and went on a trip round S.E Asia, Australia and New Zealand a few years ago. Since then I've been doing the career thing like a good girl, but sating my wanderlust with trips to Cuba, Brazil and Argentina. I moved to Brighton a couple of years ago and still get a kick out of seeing the horizon from my window every day - I love it here. I enjoy the usual stuff - going out, cinema, cooking (my chocolate brownies are pretty scrumptious) and reading. I used to go jogging but a fractured metatarsal soon put paid to that (yes, apparently that was David Beckham's injury - but the similarities end there!). My latest efforts involve my new bike and the rather strenuous activity of lifting a nice cold beer while sitting on the seafront listening to live music in the sunshine. Lovely.

Music's important to me too, and I enjoy going to gigs now and again - last gig was Blur and I'm looking forward to seeing U2 play Las Vegas in October, yay!

I've worked in the charity sector for over 10 years which has ranged from human rights to international development. Some people assume that this would mean I am worthy, frowny and musty with hairy legs and sandals. Nope. Of course I want to save the world, but I'm sure there's time for a bit of a laugh along the way.

So, in true cliched fashion, a sense of humour is a must. While I'm a big fan of contemporary comedy, silly puns, double entendres and old classics like Fawlty Towers and Carry on Matron still make me smile. Life's too short, right?
