Hmm... I guess I should talk about myself. In my spare time I love playing piano, listening to music, going to restaurants (old favorites and trying new ones), reading, scouting around for lucrative international jobs, and spending time with friends. I don't drink much, but I will tell you that my favorite drink is Gin & Tonic.

While my profile says I'm looking for dating, which is true, I most enjoy being in a happy, easygoing, committed long term relationship. Unlike most men, I also like women who are my intellectual equal or (better still) smarter than me. I get bored if I'm not challenged.

I have pretty broad musical tastes, for example: Radiohead, Mos Def, Ben Harper, Beethoven, Portishead, and countless others. Though I don't watch much TV or movies, favorite series have included: Curb, The Wire, Rome, and Madmen.

Also for activity I like hot yoga or sometimes just going to the gym. Obviously chilling with friends is always a good time as well. I am the type of person who has a select group of friends he's known for awhile and with whom he's very close. I'm a very affectionate person, though I am also independent and am happy to be in my own company. In my spare time I also like taking cell phone pictures of myself flexing with no shirt on, or popping my collar in front of my souped-up 1992 Honda. Oh wait, that's every other guy on POF. Nevermind.

Moving on, I'm going to go ahead and say that I have an okay good sense of humor. Hard to judge that for yourself though. If you take yourself too seriously, this might not be right. I am, however, always happy with long philosophical conversations and political debates, just not without some laughter mixed in.

I also feel very lucky to have graduated (international affairs) and have somehow found work in an interesting field of the federal government. I hope to continue in my present field and find someone who shares my general interest in the area.

I presently live in the Chinatown/Little Italy area, which makes for an excellent selection of eats. I like staying in and cooking too, especially as a collaborative thing. Its so satisfying to cook an awesome meal together and enjoy the delicious results. I also recently purchased a slow cooker, which apparently transforms everything into tender, saucy deliciousness. The rumors have proven accurate.

The things I appreciate most in others are self-awareness, empathy, creativity, humor, personal drive, and general cuddliness. I'm looking for someone who shares (complements?) my silliness, seriousness, ambition, and passion. (Also, a potential travel companion for another trip to Europe or the Middle-East would be a bonus).

Coffee or a drink somewhere chill. Walk along the canal during the evening, or maybe in the arboretum in the afternoon. Anywhere we can talk and get to know one another. For a second date, maybe a concert, play, or dinner somewhere delicious...
