O.K. so how does one condense one's personality into a mere few paragraphs? I suppose I should begin by stating that I consider myself to be a fairly laid back kind of guy. I try not to take life (or myself) too seriously. Don't get me wrong, I am quite aware of what's happening around me, I tune in quickly to other people's emotions and I am always available to my friends when they need support, or when they are looking to figure out creative ways to approach a particular problem.

However, while I am probably at my best when someone is in need of emotional support, I do try and see the lighter side of life and I am someone who really enjoys kicking back, relaxing and just being silly sometimes.Some of my favorite activities include: going to concerts, playing games of strategy (like Chess, Poker and Scrabble), having conversations that are focused on self discovery, and searching out the more humorous moments in life.

Some of my less appreciated skills include:

Creating titles for books that will never be written;
Keeping rhythm to songs that are off beat and
Making up words (that should exist, but don't) to help me win at Scrabble

I like to laugh and be silly, I'm great at ordering take-out food and I am quite adept at cluttering up my apartment without any effort at all (Don't worry though, I do have someone clean for me when I can no longer see the floor).

I'm sure there's more to me than this, but I figure the fun in getting to know someone is through slowly uncovering the mysteries that shape who they are . . . So I think I will stop here and hope that if anything that I've shared thus far intrigues you, that perhaps you just might e-mail me so that we can continue the conversation.

Before I answer this question, I think I ought to explain what I expect from dating in general. Ultimately, while it would be wonderful to meet someone here and fall in love (and live happily ever after), I truly believe that any romantic relationship (If it is to survive the test of time) must start with a solid foundation of friendship.

Don’t get me wrong, I certainly want to find someone who I feel that intense sexual chemistry with, but I am equally interested in finding someone who I can connect with, share conversations with, laugh and be silly with and explore the city with.

With that being said, my ideal first date would would have to allow for real conversation to take place (so as to allow the chance to share experiences, values and outlooks on life). . . . So maybe the ideal first date would be casual & relaxed, like maybe going to a coffee shop or lunch?
