My friends/family would describe me as a witty, intelligent, articulate, funny guy who is loyal, dependable, and available to them no matter what time it is or what I have going on in my own life. Besides, when I bribe them they can't help but say nice things about me! I am also adventurous, happy with my life (right now as well as it's direction) and I'm an optimist. I don't need someone to complete my life but someone to compliment it would be a great thing! It should be said that the aforementioned statement does not mean I am looking for casual or serial dating because I am not. I am looking for one person to hang out with, adventure with, get to know and if that turns into something long term then absolutely I'm up for it!

I have a very close knit family and circle of friends who I value greatly. I believe it is important to make the time to invest in those relationships regardless of how busy we are...or think we are. The same extends to the love interest in my life.

I live an active lifestyle and like to enjoy new adventures! I love travel and am always up for experiencing new cultures and locations across the globe (I have been lucky to see much in my lifetime). I'm the kind of guy who can go out and have a great weekend trip away from home or who can stay in, cook a nice meal and enjoy a glass of wine during a movie! Essentially, I can do the outdoor thing or the indoor thing. Versatile, I know! Who knew? One thing I am looking forward to doing this winter is learning how to snowboard!

I wouldn't say that I have a specific "type" but I am definitely looking for someone with a great sense of humor, ambition, and good conversational skills. Oh, being able to put together a basic sentence that is grammatically correct is also a great skill! I know, I know, I have very high standards. Did I mention sarcasm is my thing? A woman who craves adventure yet can spend a night in, a woman who is both the scholar and the vixen, someone with eyes to the future (the dreamer) as well as being grounded in the present (the realist). I do like height on a woman though. Something just extremely sexy about a tall, attractive, confident woman! Don't have height but have heels? Even better!

I place a lot of value on mutual respect, honesty, and open mindedness so I can't see myself with someone who doesn't strive to exercise those qualities. I am a very easy going, non materialistic guy who sees the greater importance of what is on the inside rather than just the outside. Don't get me wrong though, I do think that physical chemistry is very important in the success of a relationship. It just isn't the only thing I look for.

I should also mention that I have a son who is the apple of my eye; this isn’t considered baggage. I’m not looking for a mother for him as he already has one however if you ever meet him, just be a good friend to him! Yes, I am separated and have been for over a year now! Unlike a lot of people on POF I am honest about this fact! I don’t look back and neither should you.

Dinner and drinks are a great way to get to know someone with good conversation but then so is heading to Wonderland to stuff cotton candy in our faces as we run around all the big rides!
