About Me
I am physically and emotionally healthy, supportive, caring, sincere, honest, passionate, easy-going, non-smoker, not into any drama or games, have my life together and seeking same.
Even though I have a business degree, and liked my work in marketing research, property management and as an eBay PowerSeller, I love the career I have now in healthcare helping people, it gives me much greater satisfaction and flexibility.
My interests include any creative hands-on projects, fixing things, arts, music, computers, charity fund-raising, all kinds of U.S. and foreign movies, cooking, sushi, dim sum, trying new foods, travelling, gardening, hiking, going to the beaches and parks, zoos, reading about science, medicine, tehcnologies, business, and current events, trying new things, etc.
My taste in music and movies is very diverse. I listen to pretty much all kinds of music except most rap, heavy metal, and country. Not that I can play any music to save my life but I really enjoyed taking my music lessons in violin, guitar, and harmonica, etc.
I also love learning different cultures and languages (I am also a freelance translator/interperter besides my main job). Besides my source language Chinese, I also have learned some Spanish, Japanese, Swahili, Italian, and Malaysian.
My friends describe me as genuine, sweet, kind, and hard-working. I'm generally a very happy and calm person and prefer to hang out with positive people who live a healthy lifestyle. I'm also a great mother to a young toddler who is my world.
Friendship always comes first, if it grows into something more, that'd just be fabulous too.
I admire a man who is versatile. If you are active with many interests, a manly man with a soft touch, perhaps with an artistic bend or some nerdy talents, can fix things, and can cook too, you may be my dream!
You are:
Respectful (capable of respecting differences whether you've known me for 5 days or 5 years), sincere, intelligent, sociable, honest, creative, fit, has good family values, cultured/well traveled (bonus points if you are British or someone who is familiar with Asian cultures), reasonably successful and open-minded. More importantly, someone who is happy about who he is and what he does. Someone who has good morals and a strong character to do the right thing and honors himself with a healthy and positive lifestyle - including being addiction-free and monogamous.
Don't be shy in emailing me. Just because I've viewed your profile but have not contacted you doesn't mean I am not interested. If you think we are a match, drop me a line and tell me a bit about yourself and what makes you a compatible partner/companion, and we'll see where we can go from here :)
I'm an independant woman as well with her own mind and her own life. For those who are looking for someone submissive or someone to fit your stereotype, I'm not the one for you. If you have a lot of emotional baggage or drama, can only be respectful for a short time, anti-social, hate kids, or a constantly unhappy bitter person, pass me by.
Fun facts about me:
- I can multi-task in the kitchen better than an octopus
- I love cooking healthy meals from scratch and I cook well enough that my friends think I’m the culprit for their weight gain
- I have very very long black hair…soon it’d be long enough to be used as a ladder for my prince charming to come sweep me off my feet ;)
- I was a gymnast in school
- I enjoy meeting and helping people from different backgrounds and have volunteered tutoring international students when I was in university and in the King county library system. I’m looking to volunteer as a bilingual Tax Preparer next year
- It does not take much to make me feel like a kid in Candyland – dim sum, sushi, English high tea, or any good noodles will do
- I’ve tamed adult rescued parrots that were deemed untamable by an avian vet
- I know to take time to stop and smell the roses but am also driven in my career and have earned 2 promotions in 6 months with my current employer
- I don’t know any Kung Fu
- However, I have taken some Tai Kwon Do classes
First Date
Before the first date happens, here is my expectation. My schedule is rather busy so what works best for me is to initially exchange a few emails to get to know each other first. If there is potential, we can go out for a coffee/tea, lunch or have a walk in a park if it's warm and enjoy a nice conversation. I think the first date should be kept short and sweet and if there's chemistry and we click, we can always arrange some more fun things to do next.
Sorry, I don't respond to messages with just a phone # to call. For privacy and safety reasons, I do not call or give my phone # right away unless I get to know you well enough. My experience on PoF so far has proven this precaution very necessary.
