I would like to be spending time, right now, just going about life, with a woman who can be my friend, confidant, lover and companion. It gets tougher as you get older, being more established in our ways, having already made those mistakes and ah ... I'm ready to jump in and make some more! Writing is not my medium - after typing a few lines, I just sigh and think what I'm typing is so stiff and incomplete, but I'd like to meet someone - maybe this pre-screening way of doing it will prove helpful.

I think of myself as creative and analytical with a bit of a dry sense of humor. I like to kid around but can be serious too!
I believe in God and enjoy, at times, investigating the history of western civilization, of which culture I am part of.
There's several hobbies I've developed in my spare time; among them, the guitar, chess, gardening, bicycle riding and woodworking.
(Note: There's a plethora of things I'd like to do/try but have not developed any capability for, like playing the drums, camping in the mountains or making some type of cheesy movie)
I also like pre-1960 westerns (I like other films too!).

I have two left feet so dancing would be an adventure. I like movies and then talking about them ... if they warrant it, usually with a slice of pie or something.
Speaking of dining out, who doesn't like going out, ordering from a menu and having people wait on you!

I like to ride my bicycle and walking is always a way to clear my mind, and it can provide nice atmosphere for interesting conversation.

If you accept me as I am, it will bring out a sense of romance from the dawnings of my manhood. (What!?)

I have stick-to-it-ism and am a devoted, generous one-woman man.

I would like to visit Italy and Ireland - maybe Germany again.

Something simple ... a meeting to see if we'd like to go forward with each other.
