The type of woman I'm looking for: kind, big hearted, beautiful on the inside, understands the truly important things in life like love, laughter, and friendship (very important to me). I want a close friend to spend valuable moments with and join me on some of my adventures. I'd like to join her on all of her adventures too.

Travel desires:
I've been to a number of exciting places around the world, sometimes with the sole mission of seeing wildlife (Alaska, the Arctic, Baja Mexico). Other places I've been to for the fun and excitement of experiencing different cultures (London, Paris, Pamplona and San Sebastian in Spain, the Greek Islands).
There's a lot of "world" out there to experience, and I'd like to see what others see, while I still have have the chance.

Me:
I'm nowhere near perfect - it's too stressful to try to be perfect.
I keep an eye on the big picture on a lot of things.
I make it to the gym about 4 to 5 days per week, and am finally getting the body I never had when I was in my 20's.

I'm not a "fighter". So if you're looking for a "macho" guy that has anger management or control issues, then you should move on to other profiles because I'm definitely not the guy for you.

I have no desire to control others or be controlled. Simply put, that kind of relationship won't last long, nor should it.

I like going to Tahoe, Napa, the Bay Area, Santa Cruz/Capitola, Carmel, or anyplace where me and my special someone can have a blast together.

I would leave that up to my date by getting a sense of things that interest her (a true marketing approach, huh?).
There's no sense in taking a girl to the circus if she has a fear of clowns and elephants.
If she wants to go sky-diving on our first date, she's going to have to have an incredible personality, and would have to be a great french kisser (and I mean "GREAT").
I'm very comfortable with e-mail chat, then phone chat, then a first casual short meeting to get a sense of face to face chemistry. From there it's all hot air balloon rides and bubble baths overlooking the ocean in Carmel, right?
