Looking for someone smart, witty, clever & cool. Cool is essential. It’s broad & everyone thinks they’re cool, but face it-not everyone is cool. We should all be able to embrace our inner cornball-don’t overdo it. I’m not into geeks. I absolutely respect intelligence & I admire diversity in interests, but don’t be too into swing dancing or the Renaissance Festival. Considerate & kind is good too. I respect language & writing; articulate people. I can’t help but make fun of the typos in other profiles. Not sure there’s a “perfect” person for everyone; trying to be less picky. I’d like to meet someone who likes me as I am. While I can be particular (quasi-neurotic), I’m extremely open-minded & laid-back. I’m super-neat. I love washing dishes; hate doing laundry. I can be lazy; be OK w/that. I don’t really cook; I come from liberal educated parents. I hate narrow-mindedness & bigotry. I’m in no ways conservative. Relationships require patience & understanding. If you care for someone, or think you could, try to see things from their perspective & be respectful of feelings. Everyone’s growing & working on themselves; the support of another person can be helpful. You won’t meet my family unless I think you might join it. Try not to judge my friends-a diverse bunch, but all great & well intentioned. I have severe workaholic tendencies. Be cool w/the fact that I know I work too much & I’m working on balance. I work out with a personal trainer - trying to like that more. It’s awesome to be impressed w/cool romantic scenarios but most important is clicking & chemistry. I’m usually up for most anything; 1st dates should be somewhat casual, w/no pressure. Alcohol can help (w/in moderation; I’ve also seen it ruin many a date). Previous relationships may point to a fear of commitment on my part (getting involved w/the wrong people, clearly no future in sight…). It's cool-I’m not getting married tomorrow.

I like to go out & to stay in. Mix it up. For fun: I like to go & have a crazy fun time but I love to be chill & a lazy couch potato too. I’m not going out b/c people think that’s the cooler option. Usuals: drinks, meals, movies. Try new things.

My religion: Historically I haven’t dated many Jewish people, but relationships can be hard enough, so if I can date someone Jewish: one conflict avoided. Not religious; not Kosher. Some say I don’t act or look Jewish. Don’t eat pork (or beef, lamb, veal, duck).

My education: I grew up in the northeast but went to a tiny school in NW Florida.

Favorite hot spots: I love to travel and I love any place with a beach. I can do winter fun too, but I’m more into the hot tub and happy hour than the slopes. I like all kinds, from the grungiest dive bar to the priciest restaurant. Diversity is key.

Favorite things: I love most all kinds of food, have diverse taste in music, would see most movies & watch all the crap on TV.

Last read: While I try to consume some stimulating educational literature every now and again, more often than not I read to relax. Which means mostly thoughtless magazines. My girlfriends and I share books so I get a few good ones in.
