My interests are varied but lately I find I spend too much time at work. Diversion is required.

I enjoy some sports....yes I know ..weird.. a woman who watches football, baseball, basketball and hockey. I have even been known to watch a Nascar race.

Books and movies are my passions.....when time allows. Cribbage is fun but if you get upset over being skunked... then perhaps we should not play.

My preferences are: Coke over Pepsi, coffee over tea, white wine over red,cocktails over beer, salad over steak, cats over dogs, but all are basically acceptable.(except the Pepsi and the red wine) Chocolate and ice cream should have their own food groups. Cherry vanilla on a cone is my "to die for" favorite but a Dairy Queen Peanut Buster Parfait is a special treat, best served with 2 spoons.

I believe in romance. I believe that there is an honest, caring man out there who could take my breath away and think of me in the same way. One whose kiss would take me beyond coherent thought, who merely by a look or a touch could make me weak in the knees. To quote Crash Davis(Kevin Costner's character), in the movie Bull Durham...I believe in long, slow, deep, soft, wet kisses, that last three days...

My ideal somebody could be anywhere from 5'6" to 6'6"..not too short, not too tall. Hair color doesn't really matter but neat/clean is good. I am a sucker for smoky blue eyes, but really, as long as they are both the same color, I am fine with whatever.(Nothing wrong with mis-matched eyes but it does freak me out.)

My age range preference is mid-40's to mid-50's but nothing is etched in stone. Character and personality are the deciding factors for me. Body type or build isn't all that important, as great gifts come in different packages and when all is said and done, packaging is just cosmetic. I crave intellectual conversation along with a quirky sense of silliness.

Friends are great to have and do things with but I am not seeking, nor am I comfortable with, the whole concept of "friends with benefits" wherein the benefits are of a sexual nature. "Hang out" acquaintances are ok too as long as it isn't an excuse to try to get laid. If you are just looking to get laid then I suggest that you crawl up a hen's ass and wait. Did I mention that I am blunt?

Sarcasm is a 2-edged sword...when used skillfully, it will assuredly cut both ways.

I also enjoy camping, evening fires under starlit skies and morning coffee on a misty riverbank watching the sun rise.

Beyond that, salt air is the elixir of life. I am indeed a Maritimer. I smile at people on the street. I speak to strangers. I enjoy a good rant. I also clean up nicely for special occasions. I even have 2 dresses....1 for weddings and 1 for funerals.(j/k)


My children are young adults for the most part( 19 and 22) but they are my children. Children, who still, sometimes,very much need a Mother. If that poses a problem...feel free to pass me by.
