About Me
I've re-written this profile mainly because it occurred to me that I really hadn't put enough in here and I don't want to leave anyone guessing, too much anyhow. So hopefully there's enough now.
I'm looking to meet someone who's drama free, has the time for a relationship and the desire. I'm a tall man with a medium build. I'm a homeowner (for 9 years now). I love animals / pets. I have a birdfeeder in the backyard and enjoy watching them (the birds) come to feed in winter. I like the outdoors, golf and tennis. I'm also a member at a pool club down the street and enjoy going swimming in the summer time. I enjoy a number of kinds of music and play a few musical instruments. I've played guitar since I was 16 and piano since '92. Mandolin is a new instrument for me that I've been enjoying lately. I've worked in the information technology field for some 32 years now. Woah... That's a long time in one field but it's worked out well for me.
I've had a number of people contact me to later find out that I haven't been divorced (or married either) and that was so disappointing to them that they broke off communications. So, if you're one of those that needs to meet someone who's been through that divorce experience, please be advised that I haven't. I think that some people that have been through the "divorce thing" just need to relate to someone else on that level, apparently or maybe they think someone who hasn't been married also has no intention of ever doing so.
I like going to the ball game. Not just the Tigers. I love to watch the Cubs and White Sox in Chicago. I've seen the Red Sox in Boston, Yankees in New York, Giants in San Francisco as well as a number of minor league games here and there in places like Toledo and Lansing. I like football too and love to watch the maize and blue in Ann Arbor. When I was younger it was the Spartans in East Lansing. I was at the famous 10-10 tie game between the Irish and the Spartans in 1966. I got to see the game free as I was a boy scout usher.
I enjoy most of the music I grew up with, meaning 60s music, some 50s, some 70s. I like classical too along with some standards from the likes of Sinatra, Nat King Cole and some of the jazz greats.
It would be nice to meet someone who's financially secure as I am and is looking forward to the retirement years and world travel. Speaking of travel, I enjoy traveling all over this country. Here in Michigan, I enjoy the Sleeping Bear Dunes, The Manitou islands as well as Macinac Island just to name a few places in this state. I would like to travel more here in the U.S. and look forward to revisiting Europe soon. It's too bad these darn gas prices are so high isn't it ? Well i guess we'll have to get used to it. I enjoy camping, backpacking (to some extent) along with motel/hotel travel. Count me out for any hitchhiking... lol. Mountain climbing... Hmmm, well you might be able to talk me into that one.
Oh, another thing I like to do, don't laugh... ride the zoo train.
Gone fishing...
