I would describe myself as a man for all seasons complete with thermal boots and insulated golves, rain boots and gear, swin suit and flip flops, and windbreakers and a warm hat. And a ready response to all questions.

If by first date, an initial meet and greet is meant, then someplace mutually agreed upon to chat. Someplace quiet and where both parties can feel comfortable. The actual firts date would be domething gleaned from that conversation (I hope).
