About Me
Have you seen the movie Good Will Hunting? Do you watch Family Guy? Good. Because I'm best summarized as a cross between Will in GWH and Brian (the dog) on Family Guy.
I've failed at a few ventures. I couldn't afford college after high school and I was restless, somewhat disillusioned and under the influence of numerous Jack Keurac and Hunter S. Thompson novels; plus I had this crazy idea that I wanted to be a filmmaker....ask me how that turned out.
In 2005, after living out every "rebellious intellectual" cliche I could think of (including going to NY and LA and driving across the country in a van), I decided to get a haircut and a real job and go back to school. I've done very well in college and I'm currently a senior in political science at Capital University. I'm on my "senior slide" so don't expect me to do anything that requires a lot of work.
On a more serious note, I think I really have found my calling. I plan to pursue a Ph.D. in Political Science after I finish by B.A. in December.
I'm at a point in my life when a lot of my hard work is really starting to pay off. I'm about to see my work published for the first time - granted its in a peer reviewed anthology and my chapter deals with a very esoteric sub field of political science - but it will be available on Amazon, so I feel like its quit an accomplishment (especially for a person who hasn't even finished his B.A. yet!).
What I look for in a girl:
Besides being attractive, in my age range, and so on and so forth, the most important thing to me is that a woman have some kind of intellectual passion. It could be for movies, art, literature, science, whatever, but I really need to find a girl who has some kind of intellectual stimulation in her life. Otherwise, I think we will have nothing in common.
First Date
I have never been on a good first date that involved dinner and a movie. Previous good first dates I've had include: climbing Lookout mountain (this was way back in HS); coffee (and talking for 5 hours); going for a long walk; sitting in a park; and just browsing around Easton. So I think the most important thing is that we get chance to talk.
