Have you ever noticed that when you wear earrings, you can't see them? Hmm...

Anyway...

So how is it that you really start to write one of these things? Kind of reminiscent of a christmas list only a lot more significant. Okay! Here goes!

Me:

I am physically active, athletic yet still possess my femenine curves, love the color pink and am, for all intents and purposes, a "girly girl". Camping isn't really my thing because spiders tend to be everywhere and sleeping on the ground...in a tent just seems to be inviting trouble. But I would be willing to re-assess my feelings on the subject for the right person and under the right circumstances. I love movies with happy endings, songs with hope in the backbeat and coming home to a hot bath after a long run in the rain.

I am just experienced enough to appear graceful (for a short time) but am really quite clumsy and will inevitably push on the hinged sides of doors when exiting a restaurant - usually when people are watching so have learned to laugh at myself - you are welcome to do the same. ;-)

I am established in my career and love what I do and financially I am not looking for someone to take care of me. What I seek is my equal - my partner - so that we can care for one another.

It is worth mentioning that I am a "one-man woman". I do not share my lover and am not into being shared. If that is something that you are into, please do not waste my time.

My parents are wonderful people. I am very close with them. My Dad recently told me that he gets up every morning and hurriedly prepares himself so that when my mother awakens she will fall in love with him all over again. After 40 years of marriage, they still adore one another. This is ultimately what I am after. When you have observed true love for a number of years, it is easier to remain hopeful that it is still attainable.

You:

The man of my dreams will be a gentleman, well-mannered, kind-hearted, and intelligent and will have his act together. He will NOT still be into the partying/clubs/bars scene. He will be as happy snuggling at home with me on a weekend as he would be adventuring with me at the coast - the company is key - not so much the activity. He will be confident without being a braggart. He'll need a good sense of humor. He will not be timid - rather, his behavior will be impeccable in public and decidedly aggressive behind closed doors. He will not be timid. He will be very affectionate...yes, that's right... holding a hand, kisses, touches, etc. Demonstrate to me that you are as happy to be in my presence as I am in yours. Yes, I am high maintenance in the affection department but that is never a lop-sided arrangement. The man in my life will have no room for doubt as to my feelings for him. He will not be a smoker - I take care of myself physically and ask that you do the same.

I think we should play this by ear... coffee date seems like a good idea for a first meeting.
