I could write a novel on myself and it wouldn't even cover the basics. Getting to know someone happens over time, not by reading a few well structured sentences highlighting subjective traits and accolades. The faults and flaws and quirks and smiles and secrets we share with others and how we treat those around us are the fundamentals of a personality....what makes a person tick, their view on life and love, loyalty and honesty. I couldn't even sum myself up, and I know me best.

Balance is my key to enjoying personal fulfillment. I tend to be a little on the serious side and somewhat artistically inclined. I appreciate music, movies, cooking and quality over quantity: whether it be time, friends or something much simpler. Never have I been mistaken for the party type, thankfully. My interests lie outdoors, mostly; staying active keeps me sane. Having someone to share interests is a never ending search. Not that there is only *one* person out there who could be my other half, but the romantic in me stays hopeful that such is the case. For now, given work and the commencement of school, finding someone to date would be a much better fit for my soon-to-be busy schedule.

As for my preference: it's relatively simple. Balance. Intelligence, loyalty, honesty, compassion and understanding are non-negotiable. Looks aren't everything, but hwp is necessary. As are a nice smile, a love for the outdoors and animals. I don't wish to offend anyone, but it's best to up front about the "deal breakers".

I'm a firm believer in living by the Golden Rule, karma and getting what you give. Because of this, I generally practice what I preach. Treating people with dignity and respect is a dying art, one that I'm intent on saving. :)
