I'm a romantic girl at heart, secretly hoping that by now I would have bumped into a nice guy while looking through the shelves at my favorite local bookstore or strolling among the grocery store aisles, but *sigh* ...no such luck. :) Between spending time with my family and friends, and the amount of hours I put into my work as a teacher and a student, balancing it all out has become a skill, but I would like to include dating in there. ;) Being in a female-dominated field and practically living in my car, well, let’s just say that I’m hoping that this on-line dating is a bit more successful for me.

I do have to say that I am NOT looking for a Mr. Right to ‘complete’ me. I’m a strong, educated, independent woman-- and, yes, I would say that I have a sense of humor too, but everyone on here seems to say that so I suppose you would have to be the judge of that:). Don’t get me wrong, I like being treated like a lady, and I have no problem giving my guy a massage at the end of a long day or fixing him a plate, but just as long as the caring for is mutual. I would love to meet someone who complements my life and with whom I can just be myself. I’m a nice, down-to-earth girl, and though I am generally mellow, I definitely have a silly side!

I enjoy eating at great hole-in-the-wall type places, going to the movies, going for walks, the beach or baseball games when it's nice out (okay-- I gotta admit that I wouldn't purposely watch a baseball game on TV, but there is something about hanging out with family and friends at Dodgers stadium and eating a Dodger dog). I'd like to think that I am open to (most) anything. And, I probably spend a little too much time at the local coffee shops!

I'm also hoping to meet someone who values family and friends as much as I do. I don't spend all of my down time with them, but hopefully my honey won't mind joining me occasionally for the weekly family dinners-- and maybe even find them enjoyable! I'm the oldest of 8 kids and most of us are here in L.A. I have four nephews and a new baby niece, all of whom I love to pieces. As for my friends, some live in different cities around the country and I enjoy taking the occasional weekend to visit them.

So, if you are a kind, genuine, smart, and funny guy (as you can probably tell from my pictures, I love to smile) who can treat me with respect and affection-- the occasional foot rub would be nice, too-- well, then I look forward to hearing from you!
