After a long period of going here, there, and everywhere, I've decided to make an effort to settle down (relatively speaking) in Halifax for a while and embrace a community I love. I am truly an "explorer" at heart, in every sense of the word, and I'm looking for guys who share this passion. I live for the outdoors, be it in a stunning, rural landscape, or traipsing around the city snapping photos. If fresh air is involved, I'm there.

I've seen the joys of quantity and now I'm looking for quality, in many aspects of life. I'm decidedly "non-scene" and get on best with guys who are the same.

I have a heightened sense of social awareness and this is evident in much of what I do and say. In life, my goal is to "do good things for other people," be it in a split-second encounter with a stranger on the street, or in a long-lasting relationship, or in pursuing a career that will benefit society on the whole. My understanding of the world is heavily flavoured by my belief that the average human takes out more than he or she puts in, and that we need to be equal parts contributor and beneficiary if we're to survive on this really neat planet we call home. Money and material possessions don't mean a heck of a lot to me; I do remarkably well at getting more out of less, and find sheer happiness in doing so.

I have been extremely fortunate in having had the opportunity to accrue a set of life experiences (and stories to match!) that most could only dream of, and though fiercely independent, I know that one can go only so far on one's own. Hence I'm looking for someone with whom I can journey onward, sharing my experiences with him, and he, his with me.

Laughter is indeed the best medicine and I dish this prescription out like it's going out of style. I'm quick, witty, and will keep you on your toes; will you do the same?

My ears love good entertainment, which usually does NOT come in the form of Top 40 hits (with an exception or two a year). I still buy my music. (I know, I'm weird like that.) Throughout these years of travel, I've developed quite the "soundtrack" that matches tunes to scenery. Now, when I hear a track I've heard often, I can close my eyes and be transported back to a specific time and place.

I am adventurous and spontaneous and often identify the most logical outcome for any situation, then do something else instead.

That's a lot of babble. Digest it, and if you think you can dig it, you know where to find me...

I'm an extraordinarily curious guy, so I'll want to do something that allows me to get to know you. So no thump-thump clubbing where I can't hear you even though you're two feet away from me. Obvious bonus points for outdoor activities, be it a hike to a beautiful sanctuary or secluded viewpoint, or a drink or a bite to eat on a patio. Really, anything that permits hearty conversation is great.
