I love trying new things so here I am, filling out my first online dating profile. I have no idea what to expect but I'm sure it will be interesting...

I grew up in the NW Chicago suburbs and went to U of I - Champaign for undergrad. Started out as a Physics major with plans of teaching high school but quickly switched over to Business. U of I was amazing and sometimes I still miss it, although when I try to go back and visit it never quite feels the same... Why is it that the freshman girls look younger and younger each year? I mean, clearly it has nothing to do with me being a year older each year and them still being 18 ;-)

I'm now living in the city and working for a Finance company in the loop. I love everything about Chicago (except lately the weather) and I definitely plan on staying in the city for quite awhile. I guess I just don't see a house in the suburbs with a white picket fence, 2 kids, a golden retriever, and a minivan in my near future. I do, however, love dogs (still undecided about kids and picket fences, HATE minivans) but unfortunately I would need to have a little more outdoor space and also learn how to pick up poop (completely grosses me out) before I can get my dream dog, which is a Rottie.

Anyways, I'm basically just a normal girl looking for a normal guy to get to know, explore Chicago with, and see where things go. I'm compassionate, loyal, sincere, open-minded and all those other great qualities that everyone on these sites uses to describe themselves. I do have a healthy streak of sarcasm, so if you are looking for somebody who is sweet, docile, and bland, I'm probably not the right girl. I like to push myself to try things that are out of my comfort zone so I'm looking for someone who can challenge me and expand my horizons. However, one thing I am not and will never be comfortable with is killing bugs, so if you can't kill a centipede for me, I can't date you. I'm sorry, but this is not negotiable ;-)

BTW does anyone else feel like typing up this whole dating profile thing is kind of creepy? I seriously feel like I'm trying to sell myself... Awkward!

1) Try new foods or activities.
2) Drink wine.
3) Offer to split the bill.

Things I will not do on a first date:

1) Go home with you.
2) Drink beer. I swear I'm not prissy, just hate the taste!
3) Sing karaoke. Trust me, it's for your own good ;-)
