For me, family is very important, I spend quite a bit of time helping the family with projects around the houses. I guess one thing that could be said about me is that I’m a jack of all trades, there’s not much I cant fix or build. My free time is spent Riding horses (when I have the opportunity), Going for drives up the canyons to explore and see the sites, or just relaxing with a movie. The bar scene has not been a big issue for me since leaving the Navy 12 yrs ago so the only drinking I have done has been with family and friends on occasion (never in excess).
I have seen quite a few places throughout the States and still feel that Utah has some of the best mountains and spectacular sunset views around. Now with that said, my ultimate goal is to travel out of the country, preferably to Japan or Australia. I like the history and culture of Japan and would love to spend a few yrs exploring and learning more about it. As for Australia, my mothers family is Australian and they have described some places that after hearing about, I know I have to see to fully appreciate.
I grew up in a family that loves to laugh, we joke around and pull pranks quite often but its all in good fun. I’d guess that that’s where I developed my sarcastic sense of humor, I can turn most any situation in to a laughing, light hearted good time.

You know, it’s funny… you can come to a site like this that wants you to write something describing your self. So you go and spend the time to do that, find a picture and get it all set up. Then you sit back and look it over and think “hmm…not bad if I do say so myself”. then a day goes by and you look at the profile again and think “hmm…something’s wrong, reading that description makes me sound like a old fudy-dud or that perhaps…I don’t know…I sound like I’m looking for a guy”(no!).
So here it’s, I’m 35, divorced for four year and am sick of going out with friends by my self. I drive a Dodge truck that hits over 7ft tall and listen to country and a bit of rock (way to load), I have a blast driving up the canyon or in the red cliffs west of town and trying to see what it takes to get the truck stuck. I got my son his first gun last Christmas and take him shooting quite a bit, he’s getting rather good at it for being only 7yrs. I love a good bonfire party, sitting on the tailgate watching the stars, and/or cooking a meal on a hot rock next to the fire.
Basically, I’m a guy that has had an outstanding education that would like to meet someone that I can talk to as well as get muddy with when and if the truck gets in to deep. Or is it a pipe dream to think there is a woman out there that wants something other then the big house, tons of money, and a flashy car?….you get the idea.

The first date should be someplace where we can talk and get to know one another better without to much distraction. Restaurants are nice but some people feel they don’t want to eat in front of someone new right away. I would suggest a coffee shop or ice cream shack. both are nice environments for talking and without feeling pressured.
