Looking for a man who knows what he wants and is ready for it.

Thank you for stopping by, I had planned to delete this profile but couldn't figure out how to do it... Now I think perhaps I should give it another try.

Honesty and open communication is very important to me... if there is something on my mind, I will talk about it. I don't just let things stew till an argument develops, I can't stand arguing, it's not an effective way to communicate. I ask questions to learn, if there was a misunderstanding I try to work it out rather than ignore the other person or the situation. I am looking for someone who feels the same way about this. With that said, e-mails and IMs are ok to first get to know about a person, but so easily things can get misunderstood without the personal communication, you don't see their facial expressions or the tone of their voice, etc. so I'm not looking for a chat buddy, I'm looking for real life, real time.

I see it mentioned a lot that women don't respond to initial contacts, and I'm sure it's true of some women, as is the situation with some men here too. It's common courtesy to at least send a "no thank you" reply, if you're not interested. If the person doesn't care to even do that, then you are better off without them, in my humble opinion. I have experienced some nice "no thank you" e-mails, and some who just ignore me.... and yes it does bother us to be ignored, we take the chance to make contact, it's not easy, no one likes to be turned down, but to be ignored is worse. Please don't think all men or all women would do that, take those chances or you'll never know what could have been. That is why I decided to try this again. I think this is a nice site with a lot of possibilities for those of us out there searching for someone.

Well I've said little about me here, but I felt the above needed to be said. My interests above give an idea of some of the things I enjoy. MY family and friends say I am very...caring, compassionate, giving, and understanding, I love nature, a fuss bucket about recycling ;) I believe in eating as healthy as one can, learning and expanding your knowledge, life is a never ending educational opportunity, with not just a chance to learn, but to teach and pass on what we have learned, and to help others as much as possible. I'm a vegetarian, but I don't mind if you eat meat, as long as you don't mind that I eat veggies.

My faith in God is a very important part of my life and what my life is centered around. I try to go to Church every Sunday, I thank him every day for the blessings I've received, and when hurt, confused or scared I go to him first. I don't try to force my views on to anyone else, but I hope by my happiness and contentment in life that others may want to know how I achieve this and I am more than happy to explain it to them. I am not perfect and would never claim to be, I make mistakes just like anyone else, but I learn from them. The man I date would have to at least believe in God.

The first meeting is different from a first date I think... first meeting, something very simple and casual. Meeting in a public place, where it's still quiet enough for conversation over a cup of coffee/tea. This should give each one of us an idea if we'd like to go out on an actual date. A nice first date for me is doing something outdoors, a nice walk on a nature trail or drive up north, maybe stopping for a bite to eat or even having a picnic lunch along side a lake. Like most women, I enjoy a man who knows how to make simple things romantic.
