First, I would like to say that I am only looking for a true female friend. Someone to talk to, hang out with, just a real friendship. No more. No less.
I've tried to find love, but am convinced that its not a real possibility. No matter what race, creed or color, people (women) are just plain scared! Please, don’t get me wrong, I do understand. AIDS, cheating, financial problems, drama...there are so many things that hurt and scare us, we have all become so guarded that we block every possibility. The problem is, when you put a wall up to keep the bad ones out, you also block the good ones.

I recently had the pleasure of getting to know someone, an intelligent, gorgeous, wonderful lady, that, because of past pains and disappointments, she allowed anything to block her and I from creating something wonderful. I am sure that her decision hurt her almost as much as it hurt me. Do I blame her? No, not really. She is the product of the times. No one trusts anyone, nor will anyone take the chance.

My advice to you all. Leave your past behind. Find love in yourself before seeking it in others, and most of all.. Give yourself a chance. If you do not take the smallest chance, you will always be on sites like these looking for that one person and you will never find him.

As for me. Love is a wonderful thing that seems to be just out of my reach. I am tired of chasing it. Tired of putting my best foot forward. Tired of being the type of man that my mom raised me to be. I believe now that the dogs and the bad guys do always win, and the nice guy always finishes last.

I do however want to have someone to talk to, hang out with and have fun with. No, I am not looking for a sexual relationship. Just a soft voice. Someone that cares with no ties, no expectations, and above all, no heartache.
