I am a blend of east coast interests, west coast lifestyle, midwest values, and world view. Having grown up in Michigan, (Go Blue) I still appreciate the down to earth warmth and values I experienced living there. Travel has also influenced me as I have extensively traveled, worked and/or studied abroad. I moved to Southern California in the 80s to pursue a graduate degree and moved to the Bay Area a few years ago to join a good friend in private practice.
I really enjoy going out for live music, especially Blues or Jazz (but listen to everything from Alternative to Zydeco), theater or other cultural events. Hiking, biking, tennis, golf, camping are some good weather activities. I also enjoy local travel with getaways to Tahoe or Napa. I like to stretch my limits and learn new things, so I’d like to improve my salsa skills, learn to sail again or finally make it to Mendocino. I also enjoy hanging out at home and make a mean Thai curry (as spicy as you like). Finding cool little ethnic restaurants is sometimes a quest, but I can enjoy any small restaurant where we can have an intimate conversation.

A first date depends on our chemistry and could be simple such as coffee at a little independent cafe or more adventurous such as a walk down by the water, or even some cool little restaurant that we both think might be interesting.
