I can’t easily summarize or categorize myself in a few short paragraphs. I have a wide diversity of interests, ranging from theater to camping. I can enjoy watching either a football game or a ballet. Sometimes I am a computer geek and sometimes I am working with my hands to build large projects in my yard. I love good movies, bad jokes, animals, Cirque du Soleil, and Thai food. For many past years I loved BurningMan. I host occasional large pool parties but enjoy intimate dinners even more. I love to touch, massage, cuddle, and snuggle. I hope to never stop learning and finding new interests. I have had a variety of degrees and vocations. I probably have an equally diverse assortment of friends. I value intelligence, humor, integrity, spontaneity, curiosity, whimsy, and warmth, both in myself and in others.

Probably my greatest passion is travel. I have seen a considerable amount of the world but want to explore much more (and revisit some of the previous spots). The last few years I have been in a slight rut, returning to Bali several times because I love the beauty of the place and the culture, the availability of great scuba diving, and the opportunity to make side trips and explore a few other parts of Indonesia. There are several new countries that I wish to explore but I prefer to wait until I can discover them together with a partner with whom I can share the memories.

I’m looking for a woman who is intelligent and thoughtful, yet able to laugh at both the joys and curveballs of life. Hopefully she is a bit adventurous and willing to travel. More importantly she needs to be interested in, and willing to discuss, a wide variety of topics. Most of all, I need her to be a friend, a lover, a confidant, and a partner in life.

For a first date I would prefer a long dinner in a quiet restaurant with the opportunity to leisurely talk and get to know each other better. You can exchange information in writing. You can get a much more complete impression by hearing a voice on the phone. Even so, much of our communication is nonverbal. For that reason, I would prefer to sit across the table so I could see her face and look into her eyes as we talk. Afterward, if we were both interested, it would be nice to stroll in search of coffee or ice cream or whatever might provide the opportunity to chat a little more.
