About me:

I believe life is a process of growing and changing. I am not perfect, but I strive to improve myself as I grow.

I am not a stick and I will never be. Women should be curvy so you don't feel like you will break them when you hold them. Besides you only get one life and if you spend the entire time worrying SO much about what you eat, like some girls I know, then you miss out. We all end up dead anyways. That being said I still don't want to be someone who can't spend all day walking around a strange city seeing the sites by foot, because that is one of my favorite things to do.

I'm 28 never been married and without children (although I hope they are both in my future someday). I love to travel, but I also love being in my home state of Texas.

I am a country girl at heart who has been forced to live in the city far too much. I miss having horses and seeing the stars at night.

I am open-minded, but full of old-fashioned values. I am intelligent and proud, but very giving. I believe if you have some spare change you should give it to the homeless person or someone who asks...you might be the person who makes a difference and if they are scamming you, God will take care of them. Love thy neighbor!

I love doing thoughtful things for people.

I currently work two jobs, because my two great passions in life must be fulfilled. I run a political science journal at a University and I also work at a museum. My dream job would either be to work in a Presidential Library, the American History Smithsonian, or the National World War Two Museum in New Orleans. I actually have applications out for two of those dream jobs as the opportunities presented themselves. After all 100% of the shots you DON'T take, don't go in, so I try and one day it WILL happen. I have a BA in History and Political Science.

I am also hoping to start my masters in the Spring.

I love country music, classic rock, rock, pop, oldies, blues, classical, and pretty much everything but rap. My favorite band is the Beatles.

I love all kinds of movies, except they have been really bad the past few years. I really can't stand Will Ferral movies, but I love Kevin Smith movies.

I am very outgoing, but can be shy at times. I love meeting new people. I also adore animals especially horses and dogs, but who doesn't adore a baby kitten! I am a sucker for helping out animals and my two dogs were both rescues, so they are timid around new people.

Who I am looking for:

I love smart guys...intelligence is just down right sexy! Someone who can speak with ease and tell a good story is a must. I tend to like men who you would never guess are nerdy but then they surprise you with how much they know. If you can hold your own and challenge me then I will adore you, but no overly confident individuals who think they are God's gift to the world. Be humble. I am sucker for a great smile and sparkling eyes. I am not so much into the artsy liberal kind of guy, but I have lots of gay friends so they can't be uber-conservative either, middle of the road works best. My politics are this: I'm a registered republican because I don't believe in coalition governments like they have in Europe and Thomas Jefferson is my favorite president. I'm pro-choice (but I believe there should be restrictions and I would never have an abortion myself, because I think that is slamming the door in the face of God, and he gives us the children we are meant to have. That being said I keep my personal faith out of politics), I'm pro-death penalty, I'm pro-gun, anti-big government, anti-federalized health insurance, pro-military, pro-education, and pro-gay rights. You want more...then ask.

Tall or short doesn't bother me, because I am only 5'2" If you can reach the stuff off the top shelf then that's good enough for me!

I also tend to like guys younger than me who are clean-cut (I'm not a fan of long hair on men, but some guys can really pull this look off well. As long as its clean that's ok, but not my norm), but taste varies and I never stick to a set "type". If you are jeans and t-shirt kind of guy that is great, I like simple things and simple people. Just as long as you don't take longer than me to get ready to go out then we are cool. Guys who primp a lot kind of scare me, unless its for a special occasion.

I love to write and I love grammar, but I can't spell very well. lol
I love quotes, because I figure someone has already said it better, than I ever could.
I love to sing and crank the radio up in my car.
I don't worry too much about what other people think and I stand up for what I believe in or want.
I tend to type slower than my brain works so I am prone to typos or Freudian slips.
