I'm a genuine, down-to-earth kinda guy looking for the same, in other words someone who believes in being herself and who lets me be myself.
While most of you may find this unbelievable - having experienced from someone who pretended to be something he wasn`t - what I do pride myself in being is a gentleman. While I may not literally throw my coat across a puddle for you, I will hold the door for you, pull out your chair for you, give you a rose for no particular reason, or call you to see how you are if you`re having a crappy day. I also possess one hell of a sense of humour (so I`ve been told) ranging from dry gallows to cheeky to smart-ass - but not mean. I can also laugh at myself as well as others.
When there is someone in my life, they come first ALWAYS, unless there are specific and uncontrollable circumstances that may put them second. On the other side of the coin, however; this does not mean I don't know that kids come first before anything else, even though I have none of my own. That I get...however I have no problem doing things with someone and their children...I have been there before and it wa a joy.
Communication skills are a neccessity - TAKE A RISK AND ASK FOR WHAT YOU NEED. If the person you're with has true feelings, they'll be happy to meet those needs if possible. Relationships are meant to meet each other's needs while allowing each individual to be just that, an individual - it takes efforts from both partners after the "honeymoon" phase has passed.
While I`m not a smoker, am a light drinker and do not use drugs, as for yourself - it`s your body. However, chronic alcoholics and hard drug users should look elsewhere please and thank you.
So what do I seek based on this. Simply put, a down-to earth woman who believes in being herself, doesn`t mind being treated as a lady should be treated, respects me for me - what I believe in and what I do, and trust me, it will be returned in spades - and doesn`t expect to change me nor I her.
...and if you're wondering - yes, I do have a picture to share. I keep it private because while internet dating is accepted as "the way" of meeting people...not all of us want everyone we know to know what we're doing! |
