My name is Jeannie. I am hilarious, honest, straight-forward, blunt, intelligent, insightful, enlightening, charismatic, extroverted, compassionate, daring, loving, open-minded, truthful, and a dead giveaway for a hopeless romantic. I have a sick, sarcastic, and dry sense of humor. I laugh a lot.

The thing I love most about people is their laughter. I spend my days enjoying the relaxing moments and the chaotic moments. I love the way a perfect day’s sun blankets you as you’re reading a good book; the way your toes feel in the sand as you envelope the salty air of the beach during the most amazing red sunset; the way the first raindrop hits you right on the nose like an unexpected kiss and the way your heart feels after you have a genuinely fantastic conversation with someone. I love the way your heart pounds when you get off a rollercoaster, the suspense you feel when you’re playing a childhood game for the first time in years, and the butterflies of a new tryst.

I play the piano, a little bullsh*ton the guitar and I love to sing. In high school I sang operatic songs and Latin scores that belong in cathedrals. But, I’ve always had a voice for Jazz. I am fascinated by all genres of music, there is literally a song for every single emotion. When I’m sad, I listen to Sara Bareilles’ “Gravity”, when I’m happy I crank up some Reel Big Fish or some Bloodhound Gang, even when I’m horny, I end up listening to “Closer” by NIN. I love the Beatles and the Beach Boys. Music is a way of expression and is my outlet from the world. It is the one thing I know will always give me solace. It’s a universal language and a beautiful interpretation of the art not only humans, but all animals can call their own.

So, I was starting out my first semester of college, however, I suddenly had to have surgery in late October and I’m in recovery till the end of November, beginning of December. I’ve decided on majoring in Anthropology and I’m looking forward to kicking ass in Statistics, considering I had to drop it in the middle of the semester…I did so good on the midterm, too. T_T
