I smile easily, have a positive outlook and savor laughing, learning and loving. I've been described as intelligent, funny, perceptive and optimistic. Hoping to meet that special lady whose companionship transforms mundane to magical, routine to regal, lethargic to lyrical.

I love music (listening, singing and playing), sports (tennis and skiing) and reading (nonfiction, whodunits and poetry); but open to almost anything with the right person. I also enjoy relaxing: many seem surprised, after getting to know me, how laid back I can be. I like to relax with music, movies or reading, but also love snuggling and massages (foot, neck, full body), giving even more than receiving.

My sons (Duke freshman and HS junior) are very important to me and I rarely miss a varsity or rec soccer game (which I played in HS & college). But they have their own busy lives and have encouraged me to get one as well.

Capturing spontaneity, much less interpersonal chemistry, through arbitrarily programmed preferences seems so mechanical (even to a former aerospace engineer). If any part of you resonates with this small part of me, let's fan the fickle flames of friendship into a fiery fervor! As Garth Brooks so aptly sings: life is not tried - - it is merely survived - - if you're standing outside the fire.

Ideally ... you enjoy physical affection - - snuggling, kissing, pillow talk, and passionate intimacy, whether in the bedroom, den, kitchen or bath ... as for the rest - - I'll first have to get to know you!
