I've checked out several sites and consistently find the same thing: people looking for here and now without really getting to know someone. That activity is so sad; we are people, not objects of instant gratification. A little respect would be nice and some would do well to develop some self-respect.

I love the outdoors... seriously. Camping is a favorite past time, haven't been in years. Hiking and checking out nature can get one back in touch with themselves. Simply spending time with friends and family, sharing our lives... that's what life is about. Surrounding ourselves with people who care and love us.

Yes, I guess I'm a romantic, a bit in touch with myself and those things that really matter to me. However, don't confuse being a romantic with being soft. Soft is one thing I'm not; I've developed defenses that make it very hard to get through... and that's just being honest.

A first date... hmmm... well, it's surely not the movies, or a concert... no conversation there. Maybe grabbing a cup of coffee and headin out to the country to sit under the stars and talk? Easy, cheap, and... have you ever noticed how many more stars you can see in the country when they aren't drowned by all the city lights?
