A little about me... I am self employed, so drive and motivation mean a lot to me, as does integrity. I do what I say, and I am who I am. I believe in living each day by taking the time to appreciate the little and not so little things. I also believe lifelong learning and new experiences are important to enrich my life, so I try to do both. I have been told I am a little sarcastic, but hey you either get me or you don't.... I love to laugh, I believe in smiling often and generally try to look at life with the cup half full.

I grew up on the coast, so there is a little tiny bit of hippie still in me. That being said I love the greens of spring, the smell of the first rain and the sound of the ocean in winter. I also love the energy of the city and the heat of the pavement on a hot day. Hence my move to Courtenay, where one can have it all...(i think the brochure said that)

I listen to all sorts of music, don't really have a favorite. It really depends on what I am doing and what mood I am in. I listen to everything from classical and jazz to techno, NIN and Kinnie Star. Throw in some Martha Wainwright, a little Nick Cave and a splash of Metric and you have a basic playlist. A little old school Tragically Hip on the side with a couple of CBC Radio documentaries, and that about sums up last week. This week I am trying to appreciate Opera in all it grandeur, it's pretty powerful stuff if you really listen to it. But techno Opera, now that's crazy music, perfect for my morning walks, gets the heart beating... Next week who knows, maybe piano classics or retro metal, haven't decided.

I have spent the last few years organizing my life priorities. Most of that time was spent building my business to the point where it keeps me fairly busy now. But after realizing my scale was not balanced and work was taking over, I decided it is time to start the next phase of my life. Which lead me here.... I am looking for a friend first, and a lover second. Someone to share my life with; the good times, the bad and the ugly... someone who understand that being self employed is not always fun and games, but a real commitment of time. Someone who I can run away with for a few days of pure unedited fun, and explore the wonderful places around us. Someone who realized life is what you make of it, and has goals, dreams and aspirations. And someone who could be just as happy watching the rain fall or playing in the kitchen, as they are tinkering in the shop.
