Can you handle being swept off your feet? I want to find out what makes you tick. It's safe to let go, to trust. That barrier we build around ourselves for protection also stops us from connecting. I want to show you that you can let down that barrier with me.

I want to know what inspires you, what makes you giggle, what makes you feel like you could soar through the sky. What music do you sing to in the car when you’re in a good mood? What songs make you cry?

If you allow me to see you for who you are--with all the good and bad that goes with it--then we can truly know each other. What a novel concept. It’s only after truly knowing each other that we can decide if there's the chemistry and common interests between us to make our relationship endure. But even if there isn’t, we’ll know that there's one person out there--perhaps the only one--who truly knows us.

As for me, there are so many things that inspire me. First of all, my children amaze me. My most treasured memories are of holding them as infants, talking with them, exploring the world with them. I’m also inspired by people who are authentic and by people who carry peace with them wherever they go. Finding peace in our world is so difficult. When someone can teach me how to clear my mind and get in touch with the “me” that hides deep inside, I am drawn to that person, whether it's a teacher, a speaker, or just a friend.

I love to find great food. To me, it is the culmination of so many wonderful things. It is somebody’s hard work and creative abilities that provide it and it usually goes along with great company and a feeling of shared experience (with other diners) –- kind of like a community. I always try to get my server talking. There is so much richness in the stories of everyday people we meet. If I can get people to smile and talk a little bit, I get so much from that exchange that I enjoy the experience that much more. I hope that I can also bring a little bit of light into her life as well. This goes for chefs, waiters, cashiers and pretty much everyone I come in contact with as I go through my day.

So let’s find a place where neither of us has been so that we can experience it for the first time together. A yogurt shop? A coffee shop in a bookstore? If we hit it off, then it will always be our place. If we don’t, we'll have had a chance to experience something new.
