I enjoy dining, theatre, movies, searching out great wines,driving to quaint little towns for coffee,none of which are hobbies, but seem more fun than stamp-collecting and bird watching.
As for my goals, I hope to continue to be a good counsellor for several more years. I am writing something which may or may not be a novel ( the jury is still out on that.) I am going to record a cd shortly ( a gift from my kids).
I have a good sense of humour, am equally good at listening and talking. I'm way younger at heart than my chronological age.
My musical taste runs from Broadway tunes to Feist. Not crazy about hard country, but like a little crossover country, and I'd usually have EZ Rock on the radio, occasionally CHUM FM.

I'd like a cozy table for appetizers and wine, somewhere quiet enough for talking, with music in the background. Let the conversation flow, and if it didn't work out, at least you'd met someone new in a nicer environment than the local coffee shop. If I feel I know the person a little better due to our previous emails or phone conversations, then lunch or dinner. The best part of the first date would be finding that you don't want the evening to end.
