I like music (rock, country, and more) - I have fond memories of seeing and hearing so many live bands and musicians since the '70's, and getting into the Austin music scene as well. But not lately - it hasn't been as enjoyable without having someone to enjoy the music with. I love going to the movies too, especially at Alamo Drafthouse - but I miss drive in's.

I also like trying new restaurants, as well as cooking at home. When it comes to cooking, I picked up a lot from various sources who influenced me growing up. I'm a natural in the kitchen, as well as cooking on my gas grill.

I have always enjoyed traveling, and over the years my job allowed me to travel all over Texas, as well as many other states in the U.S. as well. I have only been to Europe once - to visit the Czech Republic (my family homeland).

I plan to retire in a couple of years, and I look forward to travelng more. I want to go back to the most memorables places I have been, as well as visit new destinations.

I love the holidays - especially Christmas! I had an idyllic life growing up on the Texas gulf coast, and spending weeks in the summer at my grandparent's farm in Mississippi.

I married young (lasted for about 25 years, until several years ago). I've been working for so long that I'm looking forward to taking a break - retirement is only a couple of years away, and then I can really start living again.

But I have to admit, it would be nice to meet someone who likes hearing my life's stories, and who would like to share her life's stories with me - and who would like to share new experiences and memories. That's the most important thing that is missing in my life!

It would depend on the woman - I would like to get to learn as much about her and what she likes and doesn't like, then we could decide together on the setting for meeting for the first date.

I would like the evening to include dinner and either a movie or hearing live music, or perhaps even just hanging our someplace quiet to talk and get to know each other better. If it was a cold night, sitting together next to a warm fireplace would be nice.
