I am a self employed professional, enjoying a very quiet life now that the last of my kids is off to college. For some inexplicable reason, I would like to meet a woman who will change that.

I love music, particularly blues, some jazz, most everything on WMNF, and most everything that was on the radio during my formative years - Beatles, Motown, etc. I've been a musician since my mother forced me to take clarinet lessons in the 3rd grade. Somehow, over time, I metamorphasized into a blues bass guitarist and have been playing in local bar bands on and off for my entire adult life, although not currently.

I play recreational ice hockey, usually twice a week, so I’m in pretty good shape. Think Marty St. Louis without the talent.

Needless to say, I enjoy attending concerts, live music venues, and Tampa Bay Lightning games.

I enjoy reading, although there is never enough time. I’m new to cooking, surprised to learn that its fun. I can use some help though.

I enjoy movies, and my taste runs toward the eclectic. I hate reality TV and celebrity gossip. I simply don't care about Britney, Oprah and their ilk. I'm sure they feel the same way about me.

I'm told that I don't look my age. I'm not sure whether or not to believe it.

I would like to meet a woman with a dry sense of humor to match mine, with compatible interests. She should be a non-smoker. Her preferred wardrobe should be casualware, because she is going to have a hard time convincing me to dress up for anything other than a wedding or a funeral.

We should meet somewhere for a couple of beers, glasses of wine, or cups of coffee. Nothing fancy. Just someplace quiet where we can talk.
