Is it me or is it nearly impossible to meet single people in their 30s on Long Island? I feel like a stalker walking up to a woman in a book store or supermarket and saying, "What are you reading?" or "The melons look fresh today." I have no problem chatting up a woman in bars but they are full of young 20 somethings that are rightfully creeped out when I approach them and newly divorced 40 and 50 year olds that want to celebrate their new found freedom by acting like the 20 year olds. And don't get me started with those snobs over at Match.com! Maybe this site is the answer.

I'm fun to be around with an sense of humor drier than a Sunday in the Bible Belt. I'm honest to a fault, blunt to my own detriment and I know a little about a lot of things that have no possible practical use whatsoever. I'm a natural problem solver and great to have in a fix. When people first meet me they either love me or hate me but I always elicit a strong response.

Ideally just grab a drink (adult or caffeinated if not both) and get to know one another. Good times and great conversation. A good default location would be the beach as that is where I spend most of my free time this time of year.
