About Me
I thank those of you who sent me compliments thus far, but if you did not get an answer, SOME PART OF YOUR PROFILE IS INCOMPATIBLE WITH SOME PART OF MINE. ESPECIALLY this thing on children.
I want someone who is my equal or better, a man who can appreciate and hold onto the valuable things and people in his life, and a man who can see his commitments through yet know how to make his girl feel like a priority even in the middle of this busy lunch hour called life. :)
Someone sweet but strong, who complements me. :)
I'm Jamaican, and open to all races and cultures but not all religions (if you worship one God I can handle you, if your religion has more than one God I can't deal). I do like reading, writing, web-surfing for info on finance, personal relationships, world news, and what's going on around me in general...I like to be AWARE of self and of what's happening. I love to dance even though I have not been out dancing in a long time, but that can and will change in an instant. :) curling up at home with the right person (after having gone OUT on some dates and getting to know them!) is just as satisfying as going out to a big exciting social event dressed to kill.
Just depends on the mood and the vibes in the air.
My absolute favourite pastime is motorcycle riding. I traded in the last one for the car I have when a previous vehicle went out of commission, and sold the first one in preparation for a new life with my second child...I rode up until about 6 months pregnant...and I MISS riding...when the littler ones older I plan to reward myself for a job well done with another one! (Japanese sportbikes, to be precise, I have a soft spot for Yamahas...saw the 50th anniversary edition last year in a showroom and my eyes couldn't come off it...)
Incidentally, my screen name comes from 1. Not wanting to have a bunch of numbers after my name because everything without has been taken (so I opted with going for a longer word-only name instead) and 2. the dancehall reggae song "Will be blazing the fire, can't cool, can't chill, I NEVER BEEN CONQUERED, and never will..." :D
First Date
My first date is to see where you would take me, what you would talk about, and what you would expect from me. And to see how you are with body language, and the spoken and unspoken way you act and react to myself and others...
Surprise me, and make it good, in other words. :)
If you're not that kind of guy, classic dinner (at any excellent restaurant, from a hole in the wall that only a chosen few know about to the classiest place in town!) and a GOOD action/romance movie are always winners. They are public enough to be safe for a first meeting, and if the food and conversation are excellent, the action and excitement of the movie we both are interested in can take any remaining pressure off while getting us to sit closer together than the dinner table. I don't find it cliche at all, especially not for a first date with someone met online. It's who I'm with and how you handle the date that counts, not necessarily what we're doing (but don't get cheap and try to avoid spending any money by taking me to a public park...walking around in the dark of night with a perfect stranger is not a hot date, lol).
***Long term relationship means we should be attracted to each other, find each other to be a match intellectually, financially, spiritually and eventually, sexually, and have FUN... If you are planning to spend the next 10 years in a "boyfriend/girlfriend" situation...I am not the one for you!
If you plan to simply say or do whatever fast tracks you into my bed, I am not the one for you, I don't like men who pressure a woman like sex is the last drop of water and they've been in the desert, let's chill and get to know each other, and each other's friends and families, and enjoy the great city of Atlanta (and all the other hot places in the world)!
Funny stuff from the inbox...guy sends me a message that is word for word like the one he sent a while back...obviously the poor thing forgets who he's copied and pasted to, so I decided to actually respond and help him out. Was I mean? Let me know read it:
"You have sent this exact same paragraph to me before. Please do yourself a favor and type original thoughts to each woman AFTER reading her profile...could just be a couple lines but you will not get anywhere copy and pasting messages like this. It says we are not worth even 2 minutes of your time and that you find us women as interchangeable as a set of Hanes boxers. Not cool. And will definitely cause issues getting a date both on the Internet and in real life. Good luck!"
