About Me
A slightly different situation here... I'm in the UK, an Englishman, relocating to California in 2010.
Why here? I want to meet my 'soul mate' somebody who shares my interests and aspirations. I'm tired of the traditional routes to meeting people, I think maybe here will be a good filtration system. Boy, that sounded romantic...
A quick explanation as to why the So-Cal move? I love the lifestyle, weather, and people. I have many good friends in L.A. and now potential employment. After years of travels, adventures and living overseas, I'm looking to settle down with the right person, so why not do it in a place I love?
What can I offer?
I'm incredibly modest, a British trait, so can hardly bring myself to do this... OK, I have a good sense of humour, I've always been known as 'the funny one' kinda like an English "Chandler." I like sarcasm, witty retorts, surrealism and silliness.
I'm loyal, honest, and have never cheated I'm too old for games and too young to settle for second best. I'm a good listener, am reliable, but will always surprise you.
I'm articulate, intelligent and creative. I write, mainly screenplays, for which I've had some recognition and awards. I have a curiosity for facts and stories. If I hear a new word or concept, I need to look it up straight away. I like quizzes. Do they have pub quizzes in L.A?
I'm skeptical, inquisitive but always positive. I don't like moaners or negativity.
I've lived overseas and traveled extensively, so am world/streetwise. Cool headed, contemplative, with a spontaneous side. I've had many adventures, and now that I'm ready to settle down, I don't feel the adventures need to end... I love kids, I think they could be part of my new life adventure in a few years time.
I'm fairly liberal, an atheist, yet spiritual (not in a meditation/scented candle kinda way.) I have strong opinions, but aren't afraid to debate them and have my opinion changed.
I love indie music, rock n roll, pop and ambient dancey stuff. I can't go to a club without having a bit of a dance. Love live music, whether an established band, or just something small scale in a local bar.
Physically, I'm in shape, run 3-4 times a week. Like to go down to the park and play frisbee or kick a ball around. Hopefully you will too. Not vain, but I'm told I've got nice eyes and a confident manner... (The modesty thing is really kicking in now)
I like girls with intelligence, class, creativity or an artistic side, a strong mind, good taste, an opinion and a good sense of humour. Even if you spell it without a 'u.' Overly serious people are a real turn off.
Not looking for Moms (sorry,) Paris Hiltons, people who can't grasp the basics of spelling and punctuation, have zero in common with me or are not interested in having an adventure. If all of your pictures are shot from above, into your cleavage, or you're doing that ridiculous pouting thing... sorry.
Fave films: The Big Lebowski, Sideways, Swingers, Pulp Fiction, any Woody Allen. Fave music: The Smiths, Stone Roses, Third Eye Blind, Natalie Merchant, dancey stuff. Fave books: Any Martin Amis, Stephen King, Phillip Pullman. Fave TV: The Wire, The Office, Seinfeld. Fave food: Indian, Asian, um, English? Fave drink: Red wine, the occasional beer.

First Date
Well, for the moment, e-contact to see if there's a connection... I travel to L.A every so often, so then we'd meet up for fun activities whilst I try to be charming yet amusing...
English* has 2 roses that can be sent.
