Hello, and thanks for stopping at my profile; I’d like to take a few moments and talk about the person behind the picture (obviously in a metaphoric sense as I do not walk around wearing a photo of myself - that would just be weird). My name is Alan, although I also happily respond to anything shouted loud enough in my general direction; British born and raised but, I have travelled quite extensively and would like to continue to do so. I am a very optimistic person with a bright outlook on life, I live for the moment but also do plan for the future; otherwise I think you can never achieve your dreams.

I run my own very successful company and have done for the past 11 years, whilst it is demanding it does also allow me to indulge in my passions which are the media and arts, travelling, being generally very creative and with everyday presenting a new challenge. I’m am a driven and determined individual, never happy to sit on life’s sidelines and like to achieve my goals; as an example I live in a house I built myself which took just over five years to complete.

It is fair to say that I have a very good quality of life and would like to be able to share this with one special person; I just never seem to meet the right people going about my day to day activities or on nights out; incidentally I am definitely more of a bar person than a clubber. Of course, I enjoy the usual hobbies, cinema, theatre, walking, architecture, days or nights out – I love discovering new exciting places but, what makes me unique (according to my female friends) is that I have no interest in sport (although I do go to the gym three times a week) and love shopping; this does not however, mean that I am gay!

So to sum up, I have a lot of love to give the one who captures my heart; I am an endless romantic and treat others the way I wish to be treated myself. Every experience is an opportunity to learn something new and continue on life’s exciting journey – it would be nice to find someone that can accompany me on this journey and become a true soul mate. To be honest, the what you do and where you do it is not really important if you share a chemistry with someone. I'm a bit of a romantic so tend to follow that as a guide but not plan too much, being spontanious is very important to me; it keeps life exciting and stops things becoming regimented.
