I'm tired of meeting guys in bars, and apparently my friends have no clue what I look for in a date, so that's what's led me here. It can't be any worse than the bad blind dates and horrible pick-up lines at bars.

I'm a pretty laid-back person. I enjoy getting out by the water (be it the river, lake, beach, pool, whatever), spending time with my friends (whether it's going out to have a pitcher of beer and playing pool, or just cooking at the house), and trying new things.

I've been told I'm too independent and that I'm the ever-changing person because I don't like to fall into routine. I am, however, a creature of tradition on one night a week.

I love watching SEC football (Roll Tide!) and if I get the chance, I enjoy going to Braves games (baseball just isn't something I easily get into over the TV).

My biggest goal would be to eventually support myself with my freelance event coordination and design work, without having to depend on some company to sign my paycheck. But at the current time, it might be a while before that happens (thanks economy!) but I'm not totally discouraged. It'll happen someday.

So here's the deal. I know everyone on here puts their best foot forward... Just like on a first date. But I don't want to meet someone on here only to have them disappointed, so here goes...

I curse like a sailor, drink like a fish, and smoke like a freight train.

Now, there's some of my flaws up front. Am I willing to work on them? Yes, but not because someone TELLS me to. If you're unwilling to accept me as I am, I'm not going to change. If you're willing to accept me, then my willingness to change comes with that.

Beyond all that has been mentioned, the truth is, I'm pretty well-rounded. Above the flaws and the b.s. "describe yourself" stuff, I am the girl that can have a nice dinner with the top corporate execs, or I can be the girl that hangs out in a pasture with friends all night drinking and feeding cows. It's really hard to put me in a situation that I cannot be comfortable in, and I crave different situations randomly. I know when to control myself and when to let loose and just have a good time.

My ideal first date would start out with something exciting... Canoeing, hiking, boating. Then if things went well, dinner. And if things were still going well, and I wasn't quite ready for the date to end, drinks at a sports bar.

Now, if we're talking really impressing me, a Bama game would be a great way to score bonus points. ;)
