I am told I have a good sense of humor, am considered kind, witty, charming and a gentleman who also knows how to have fun, laugh, and be a kid when with friends. After fifteen years in the corporate world I branched out into several entrepreneurial business ventures a few years ago and could not be happier. It’s hard work, but nothing beats creating something from scratch that not only allows you to make a good living, but also benefits others. In my spare time I love to be outdoors. Fishing, hiking, exploring, having picnics, long walks, being at the beach, and playing with my yellow Lab Tucker are things I truly enjoy. Fine restaurants, a good book, seeing a good movie, and getting away to New York, Baltimore, the Eastern Shore and my place in Nantucket are all things I like to do regularly. Simple things like spending the night in over a nice homemade dinner and a good movie on a cold winter night provide balance. One thing I have learned about enjoying life is to really have fun with the more mundane things. That makes every day fun and the special things all that more special.

I am looking for a serious, long-term relationship, but I also feel that this is something that should progress naturally from first finding out if there is chemistry during an initial meeting over a drink or cup of coffee to some dates that are more about having fun as opposed to sizing up a life partner. If a serious relationship is meant to be, it will come naturally in my view.

At this point in my life I don’t really see myself having my own kids, but yours are certainly welcome. I have been divorced for eight years and the two serious relationships I have had since then involved women with kids and I thought they were great. I have two nieces and a nephew who live nearby and I dote on them dearly. However, if you don’t have kids and don’t plan on having any, that is fine too.

I don’t like to define things in regards to the woman I am looking for in terms eye or hair color, education, background, etc. It’s hard enough to find the right person, so I don’t want to limit myself too much. I do realize the closer your background is to mine, the better chance we have of clicking, but that is also not to say opposites can’t attract. I do prefer a woman who can hold a good conversation, has a warm and inviting smile, and is on the slender/athletic side.

Having done online dating a few years ago, I can say that I prefer not to have long emails back and forth but rather to meet sooner than later over a drink or cup of coffee to see if there is that elusive initial chemistry that would make it worthwhile to get to know each other better.
