The problem with sites like this is that everything is based only on pictures, and what we write; a use of squiggly characters invented many centuries before any of us were born. Many happy relationships will never be because of this. One’s actions play no part here and I think that is the only real thing that should be used when judging someone. I’m no author, and I hated English class so this is my attempt at meeting someone by just my writing.

As for myself, my name is Tim. I’m 24, from the Grayslake area (north suburbs), and new to dating. I spent my post-high school life so far working and going to school, so a social life was put on hold. I’m athletic and like to keep in shape, but I don’t overdo it. I enjoy anything along the musical spectrum and can play a few instruments decently. I also do a little music editing when I have the time. I like doing, non-mainstream things, like trying new foods, exploring things like old buildings and abandoned places, as well as nature-type things. I haven’t been to a concert or event in a while, but I’m not against going to them. I seem to make people laugh, but I feel it’s just my observations more than me being funny. I take important things seriously and have led a pretty responsible life. However, I am also not strict with rules.

I’m looking for a companion, either friend or beyond, to make life a little better, and perhaps make me want to do better. I would prefer someone younger than me because I don’t feel I have much in common with women my age. I’ve always been attracted to dark eyes and dark hair, but I don’t judge things quickly. As I stated earlier, the woman I wished I could talk to has a kid. I don’t mind women who already have kids (I get along with kids pretty well), but I can’t promise I could be a financial supporter right now. But, I’d have no problem helping be in a child’s life as a father figure. Again, I’m not a pro at dating, I will probably be quiet and awkward at first, but I’m also not an idiot, I’ll get better as time goes on, I just need a little troubleshooting.

I have "dating" in the "here for" category, but I am fine with hanging out or developing something long term. Just not the dreaded "other relationship" haha.

How can one answer this "correctly"? I would say just something casual to make it easy to get to know a stranger. Nothing fancy, but obviously not a fast food joint.
