I'm a 55 yr old white person of the male gender, whose interests range from the mundane to the sublime. I feel just as comfortable on the beach or camping as I do in the corporate board room ... just as comfortable chatting or making small talk as I do discussing the major current events, politics, religion, philosophy, sociology, and psychology, the arts, theatre, etc. I am not your jock or sports buff, though I do like baseball. I am a good active listener, but also can hold my own conversing (sometimes you even have to tell me "shut up for goodness sake..") and I will :)

I am nonjudgmental, but do exercise good healthy judgment. I believe in practicing constant and never ending improvement, and look to see what I can learn from every person I meet - be they a high school graduate (or drop out) or have a Ph.d.

I'm healthy, in excellent shape physically, mentally, and emotionally. In other words, I'm a great catch!!! and a great person to have as a friend.

Get to know each other - talk. Someone who appreciates loyalty without emotional baggage, who appreciates friendship without strings attached, and who appreciates understanding and listening without judgment. If you're a decent, funloving woman who is tired of men pretending to be "nice" who turn out to be neurotic losers, or tired of men who believe that you will take it as a "compliment" when they try to get in your pants after only knowing you for an hour or two, you may be interested in talking to me. I don't pretend to know everything that women want or need, but I am hoping to find someone who is self-aware enough to tell me what she wants, and comfortable enough with herself to let me know what she doesn't want. What I'm hoping for: intelligence, common sense, and compassion, and mostly, a person who enjoys intense debates and light conversations equally. It's a plus if you like my cats.
