I love to dance, go hear live music, walk in the woods, hike or swim anywhere. Favorite pastimes are gardening, cooking 'real' food, reading, writing, yoga, good conversation over coffee, films, & sharpening my language skills - either through travel or talking to people who speak French/Spanish. I love the water: lived in Santa Cruz for 10 yrs., grew up close to the ocean & would be excited to sail again sometime in my life. From the East Coast & am often attracted to same!
Unique? Friends say "there's a deep inner core of who you are," "you're aware," "you have a zest for life," "you're fun to be with," "very caring." I believe I am creative, funny, and compassionate.
Aspirations: Meet someone who could be my soulmate and have a wonderful, working/playing relationship. Continue on my spiritual path, through church & other activities. Goals: Travel places I haven't been before, with a loved one to share it all. Learn a lot more about cooking and graduate to a bigger kitchen (my house is tiny). Maybe live in the country some day, if it's the right time & place.
Music: all kinds!! especially blues, jazz; zydeco, swing & waltz for dancing; classical & opera; bluegrass, folk & 'newgrass.' Any world or mixed genre music delights me, and house concerts are one of my favorite treats. I grew up in a musical family; voice is my instrument.

A first date would most likely be coffee or a drink in a place we agree on, or midway between our two towns if you live fairly far away.
