How I hate this profile things. Such performance anxiety! LOL

I never know what exactly to write in these things because I don't like being put in a box. I love to explore new and different things so past performance isn't a guarantee of the future. How I travel is a good example. My preference is to try and get off the beaten path a little and get more of a feel of what the culture of the area is really like. Seeing sights that give a sense of history always fascinate me so the planned resorts (think Kaanapali and Cancun) just don't do it for me. Don't even get me started on Club Med! LOL If I'm going to fly to an exotic locale, I want to know what that place is really like. Having the same experience no matter where you go makes no sense to me. Might as well have that experience at home and spend the money on some truly fabulous meals.

I can't ever say anything about me without mentioning my 10 year old son. He's a great kid and the center of my life. I know the day is coming when he's going to want to spend more time with friends and less with me, so I'm doing all I can to spend time with him now. If I find someone on this site striking a balance in the time allocation is going to be the toughest thing for me to work out. So please be patient with me on that.

Whatever you think of me and my profile, I wish you the best of luck in finding what you seek. Sometimes it seems that the whole online thing opens up the possiblities, but quantity doesn't always mean quality. Try not to get discouraged.

Wow, I sure did write a lot for someone who didn't know what to write....

First dates can be so fraught with expectations. I think something low key and open ended is always nice. Something quiet enough to have a conversation to get to know each other better. Coffee or a drink would fit the bill, but so would going for a relatively short walk along the water somewhere. Movies are nice, but I want to be able to see your eyes. :)
