No, seriously... I am the nice guy that finished last. The recession has taken it's toll on me. I have been laid off for 11 months so far, but that doesn't make some kind of BUM!! It does make me just another American dealing with the "hard times". I've tried hard to find employment. Even went to the point of relocating to Sacramento (where my oldest daughter lives now) and stayed 6 weeks looking for employment and a place to live. Didn't have much luck, so I came back to NC.
Anyone that knows anyone.... please HELP!!!

Still have my sense of humor and try to stay positive. I better be quiet, they might come after that next.

In the meantime, I enjoy drawing and spending "some" weekends with my youngest daughter. We do have the art thing in common and I try to help her out. I'd like to show you my art, but this lame POF site has a problem with me adding examples of my work. I do have a Facebook web page if you'd like to check that out. They don't have a hang up on that kind of thing. As far as music... I like a lot different types of music (depends what I'm in the mood for).

Staying busy... big time!! I'm trying now to get some art work done for a possible show (some day... some where). Pretty sure I'll have 3 pieces of work (that's the limit I understand) for art showing of Alexander county artists at the Hiddenite mansion in March.
Going to the Hickory Community Theather to help paint scenic backdrops and set constuction for whatever plays happen to be opening.

What I've done lately:
Went to the Hickory Community Theather and painted some more on the back drops. Painted toys for the Macy's scene. There was 3 other artist also working on it with me. My daugther and I worked on the main back drop together, which happens to be a winter scene. They asked if I could help be a stage hand. Man, was that a lot of work.

Stay tune next time, same time, same "bat" channel!!

P.S.... Going with my daugter is great, but would anyone around my age like to go?

First date!!! I WISH!!! Just joking... I like things simple. Going to places like festivals, art galleries, or parks would be nice.
