Im a former US Marine w/o the usual Marine self image issues. I'm finalizing a divorce from my wife of 11 years (together for 16). It was mutual and a long time coming as we just seemed to grow apart in the last few years. I have 2 beautiful little girls that I absolutely adore and who will probably take most of my free time as things finalize and settle down. Im not looking for a "rebound", a "1 nighter", a mother for my children or any more head games. I simply just want to find some friends and see where things go from there. I work hard and will on occassion play hard but for the most part just like to relax on my "down time". I cook, I clean, I'm sincere but do tend to internalize things instead of wearing my emotions on my sleeve. I want to reitterate that im NOT looking for a relationship right now, just friends that I can get to know over time as im still living in my house with my soon-to-be EX and my children until everything goes through. Too many variables, such as: her interests, the time of year, the type of person you are taking out, etc. I havent had one of these in a LONG TIME but am wise enough to know that a true first date needs to be well planned/timed knowing that you will only ever get one with that particular person.
