Hobbies include music (live or recorded), reading sci-fi, fantasy or "trashy" romance novels (when I actually get the time to sit down and read I enjoy the escapism factor), movies, writing short stories, song lyrics/poetry, etc, some TV, crocheting baby blankets for new mommies, taking trips to new places (aka "adventures"), making new friends, reconnecting with old ones, and just trying new things in general.

Goals and aspirations include finally finishing my Bachelor's degree, mastering Spanish again as well as Sign, Gaelic, French, German and Japanese.

I have been called unique for many reasons including my ability to adapt to any situation quickly, my ability to help those around me whether it is my oldest friend or someone new, my quick wit, and how much life experience and wisdom I have gained in my 38 years. That and my ability to find the silver lining in practically anything and will go at great lengths to make those around me laugh (even if it means at my own expense).

Ah my taste in music...well it happens to be extremely eclectic. I have grown up surrounded by musical people and have been a musician myself of various instruments (though these days I mostly since it is my most "portable" instrument - LOL). Basically I like from Classical to Hard Rock and everything in between. Bach to Papa Roach if you will. If I was hard-pressed to pick "just one" favorite genre, it would have to be the blues. Those deep, sultry rhythms just get to me. Though I guarantee I have things on my iPod that you never even heard of. Alternative, Blues, Rock, Rockabilly, Celtic, Electronic / Dance, Techno, House, a sprinkle Country (as well as some crossovers), Metal, R&B / Soul, Pop, Hip-Hop/Rap, Jazz, New Age, 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's, and even today. And a whole lot more! You get the idea.

Something simple to see if there is any chemistry (since you can always decide to do more later)...coffee, ice cream, a book store, etc.
