Let's see...My name is Katie and I am fairly shy when I first meet people, and I am pretty quiet in general. I'm a vegetarian who can't quite make it to vegan because I love mac and cheese too much. I don't really care if you eat meat or not, I just don't eat it because I don't like the taste. I'm pretty much a huge nerd, but I've learned to embrace it. I love to read, it is my number one thing to do and I am always up for book recommendations or just discussing books. My favorite genre is either dystopian or fantasy. I like to play video games as well and play a wide variety of them. I don't watch much TV, but if I do I usually have it on the history channel. My friends have recently been getting me into reading comics.

My taste in music is pretty diverse and I will listen to pretty much anything. Some of my favorite bands are: Tegan and Sara, Nightwish, Rammstein, Otep, Oomph!, Meg and Dia, Daddy Yankee and all types of classical music. I even go on kicks where all I will listen to is koto drum or Native American flute music. Like I said, I'll listen to anything. I'm not really into the music 'scene', I just like listening to it and enjoying it.

I'm in college right now, and I am working on getting a degree in East Asian Studies and Japanese with a minor in German.I love languages and I really want to get a job as a translator after I graduate. My current goal is to save up money to get a small apartment in Chicago.
