I guess there are a lot of douchebags on here. On behalf of cool dudes everywhere, I apologize for them. I swear we are not all like that. I am just as interested in meeting cool people to hang out with as I am looking for a relationship. If we exchange a few emails, it doesn't mean that we are dating. On to the profile. More than anything else, I am a responsible rebel. If something is popular, I probably want nothing to do with it. You know when you're at a show, and the singer yells at the crowd "Let me see those hands in the air"? My hands go down. I just can't bring myself to follow everyone else. I detest mob mentality. But at the same time, I am an adult. I have two jobs, and yes, I have a car. (I can't believe this would be in doubt, but I guess it is on here.) I am a father of 2 kids. I'm not going to write all about them, because I don't know any of you people. Who are these people who post pics of their kids on a site like this?? I am a college professor and a graduate student, but not the boring kind. I worked in radio for awhile, and it was the best job I ever had. I have been playing guitar for many years now, and I write and record my own music. I listen to a lot of different music, from Tori Amos to Slayer, but I cannot figure out why people like Nickelback. I mean, seriously, what is wrong with these people? I hate it when people say "ATM machine." Don't they know what the "M" is in there for? I hate it when people type "your" when they mean "you're". I've been told that those comments make me sound like a**** I'm really not. I think David Lynch is a genius. I really want to learn how to surf. I am going sky-diving soon if it kills me.

I am an [[atheist]]. I am fascinated by religion, but I don't subscribe to any of them. I enjoy discussing religion, and I am well read on the matter. So if you are going to try to convert me, realize that I probably know more about your book than you do.

I am very liberal politically. I'm not a fan of the two-party system, so I'm not registered with either.

If you listen to punk or metal, I'm probably going to dig you. If you have tats, yep. I am interested in women who know who Tom Robbins is, or would love to go see Bad Religion, or can quote Donnie Darko. If you only read fitness magazines, I'm probably not the guy for you. If you only listen to whatever music is on the radio, again, not for you. I prefer stimulating intellectual conversation and a few games of pool to watching reality t. v. or football anytime.
