Favorite books, writers, or films: I could fill a tome with the books and authors I have loved, from classic novelists, like Henry James, Edith Wharton, Jane Austen, Anthony Trollope, Dostoevski, Tolstoy, Thomas Mann, and George Eliot, to modern writers, especially magical realists like Gina Nahai. Professionally, I keep up on the latest health findings. I enjoy most foreign films.

Tastes in music: Vocal jazz, classical, R&B, opera, ballet, Great American Songbook, early Soul and R & B, and more. The Hollywood Bowl and Disney Hall are favorites!
