A few fun facts: I'm new to the LA area. I moved here in May 09. I'm originally from Boston, but have lived up and down the eastern sea-board. I'm divorced with kids - they live with their mom in another state. I'm a business professional who is successful. I'm educated with both and undergrad and graduate degrees. I'm confident and a fairly straightforward type of person. and considered arrogant by some. I'm sarcastic and in possession of humor that is considered goofy. I'm fairly laid back and rarely stress over issues.

I'm Black, but you probably wouldn't know that when you look at the photo. Many people mistake me for Latino or Middle Eastern, or Italian. I grew up in the inner city of Boston, so while I am professional I do have a certain amount of street in me. My style of dress varies from business attire at the office to sneakers and jeans when not in the office. I am told that I clean up well.

My musical tastes leans towards old school rap (the new stuff kills me), but my collection is eclectic from salsa, reggae, r&b to blues. At the end of the day, though, I'm an old school hip hop fan. I like my music and spend more time listening to music, than watching the tube. I'm not really into the club or bar scene. I can hang with the best of them, but I'm not hitting the bars or clubs on a regular basis. Not my style.

Food - my taste varies. I'm a big fan of Chinese food, but I like all types of food. I'm also semi-decent in the kitchen. I think my fried chicken and steaks are some of the best you will ever eat
I play basketball, but not on a regular basis. I try to workout, but I am not a gym rat. I hope to start practicing kung-fu again. I collect kung-fu movies and am trying to learn Mandarin
I'm 6 ft and 188 pounds. I'm not billy dee, but I'm not quasimodo either. What else can I say - I have traveled quite a bit (both international and domestic) so I like to think I have a global perspective. I don't follow politics. I'm not interested in having more kids.


I'm looking for someone with a good head on their shoulders. Someone I can have shallow or deep conversations with. Someone who likes to laugh and does not take themselves to serious. Someone who likes to explore and has an open mind. Someone who is intelligent, knowledgeable about life, and has a variety of interests. I'm looking to meet someone who is attractive - I'm not looking for a gym rat or someone with zero flaws (because I have mine), but physical appearance does factor into the equation. Call me shallow Hal, but I prefer to be honest. Long legs are a plus, but not a necessity. No BBW and please have a photo.
