Hi, my name is James. I’m originally from Florida and moved out to the West Coast to go to graduate school here at UC, R. I am working on my PhD in chemistry. The reason I am pursing a PhD in chemistry is not just because of my passion for science but, I did not want to be limited in how far I could rise in my carrier because of a degree. I feel some of my best qualities are that I am patient, diligent and hard working. These qualities can be illustrated by a short anecdote. When I started out to get my PhD. I started at another school in synthetic chemistry. I found out that I didn’t have a green thumb as it were. So I left that school with a masters and then started at a new school in a new field, analytical chemistry, and have really found my path and will hopefully be done soon.

I am also very family orient. Even though my family is on the side of the country at present, I talk to them often and still see them once a year when I visit for the holidays.

I am looking for a woman that I can talk to, who is interesting and fascinating. I have been told that I am good listener and an engaging conversationalist. That I really want to know what the other person is saying. I am looking for a woman that is interested in me for me, for who I am. It is important to me that she is a good person and has as strong moral center. I am looking for my equal, my other, better half. A woman to spend the rest of my life with and start a family with.

I enjoy going out with a few friends or just on my own to a movie or dinner. I also like to take walks outdoors. It is very relaxing and can calm the mind. I enjoy nature and gardening. Also in my free time I enjoy reading mostly non-fiction history. I am bit of a history buff and enjoy staying up to date with current events, reading the news.
